About Me
About me:

I'm Jayanthi - mother of two children living in Hildenborough. I have many years of experience in 11+ tutoring and coaching children for the Kent 11plus exam privately for the last 8 years. I specialise in tutoring all 4 subjects: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning, Non-verbal and Spatial Reasoning. I have successfully helped many students to attain a place in their desired school of choice.

Why me:

I make sure children understand the very key concepts in all the subjects of 11+ and their basic foundations are strong enough before they start to prepare for actual test. I incorporate different methods and techniques in my teaching to make children understand the 11plus subjects thoroughly. In this way, children are more confident with methods and helps them to familiarise with questions easily. Students are encouraged to develop a reading habit. I make them try to a read variety of books in their Year4 and Year5 preparation.

I cover 35 different Verbal Reasoning techniques and use different fun methods to learn Non-verbal reasoning and 3D spatial reasoning. Children do use various fun origami and paper cutting to help them to understand and imagine certain foldings in their head. As these sessions are being fun and highly interactive, children enjoy the sessions while learning.

All my students have successfully achieved their desired result and are going/about to go to a school of their choice: Tonbridge Grammar School, Weald, Judd, Tunbridge Wells Boys Grammar, Tonbridge Wells Girls Grammar School, and Skinners.

Living in Hildenborough, I’m easily reachable from Tonbridge, Tunbridge wells and nearby villages in Kent.

11+ Information Evenings will be held during the summer holidays to help parents/carers to understand about the details of the Kent 11plus Exam and will be shared some 11+ tips for the preparation.

For Year 4, I teach the fundamentals of Numeracy: number knowledge, addition, subtraction, & division, etc, and in Literacy: Reading comprehension, SPaG, and basic vocabulary in line with the national curriculum along with some fun origami to develop NVR and Spatial skills which will be covered in sessions for Year 4 students.
​Year 5, as it is the main year for 11plus preparation, in which I cover advanced Maths and English, Verbal Reasoning, NVR and 3D Spatial Reasoning in line with the National Curriculum to cover the Kent 11plus syllabus.

Initial Assessment
Initial assessment consists of a set of questions suitable for their current year group given to your child at my office room. This assessment will help me to understand your child’s current level and to plan the lessons accordingly to provide the best possible 11plus journey for your child. The session type and available time slots can be discussed during this session.
11+ Revision Workshops
11+ Revision workshops are conducted in February half-term, April- Easter break and Summer holidays.

Topics for the Revisions will be shared by email prior to the workshops.
All the topics will be covered in detail with practice.
Fun way of learning NVR and 3D spatial using paper trim, folding, Origami and punching holes.
11+ Mock Exams
Three different full length SET A, SET B, SET C 3 hour Mock Exams conducted in Feb, April, and summer holidays.
Mock tests covering English, Maths and Reasoning.
Mock Exams (SET A, B and C) are held to check student's weaker areas to improve on before the exam.
Detailed feedback will be given within 48 hours by email.
